In this lesson students must use materials provided to create a scenario that will prevent and reduce erosion in their town.
Design BucksCurrency I designed that students will use to buy materials. All of the materials they buy can help in preventing erosion but some are more effective and environmentally friendly than others.

Construction & ErosionContruction can cause erosion with the removal of grass and other plants that would normally hold soil in place. These images I illustrated represent the removal and replacing of soil.

Erosion PreventativesErosion prevention items I illustrated that students can buy using their Design Bucks. Some of the items include man-made tools like sandbags and retaining walls while others are as simple as trees, bushes, and grass.

Landscapes
A town I modelled for the erosion lesson. The washed out river has started to erode too close to the city and is now threatening the buildings. The lesson asks students to use erosion preventatives to stop the erosion from destroying the town.

A preliminary model I did of the washed out river and a menu of items the students can use to prevent the Town Hall from being damaged by erosion.
